SHAKESPEARE ALOUD

A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Act I, Scene 2 on Henley St, Stratford-upon-Avon

This is great – not the most intuitive play to read on the street of Shakespeare’s birth and raising, and yet why not – it’s one of his most inventive works if not his MOST inventive play, and it shows just how far the man’s imagination could travel. You feel me?

This is one of the MOST FUN scenes to read aloud by yourself! Comes highly recommended. Surefire cure for depression! Makes me reflect upon my mentor’s funny comment after I saw a bad production:

“How do you f&ck up Midsummer Night’s Dream?”
