Obama hears my tunes…

Obama listens to my stuff jpg

This was a rather big day. On April 23rd, 2016, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, President Obama came to visit the Globe to congratulate the Hamlet Globe to Globe company, who had played 197 countries in the world – by far a world record. This is Phoebe Fildes playing my tunes at something hysterical like 8am when this dude starts his day.

Two hours later I debuted a brass quintet for Prince Philip, Duke of Edinbugh at Southwark Cathedral for the service the Globe held with the cathedral to mark the momentous day.

Below, the Daily Mirror is one of the many sites up showing a video of Obama coming to the Globe on the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, watching a bit of Hamlet after it had performed for 197 countries around the world, and taking in the music I’d written for the production.

Several news agencies described him swaying to the beat, and all I can say is thank you world.

It’s all here.

And here…
